The RISE – Rising competences & skills in less developed Danube regions through food sector cross-topic innovations project, implemented with the support of the Interreg Danube Region Programme, has been successfully completed. STRIA Nonprofit Ltd. participated in the international partnership as the Hungarian project partner. The cooperation, bringing together 11 organisations from 11 countries, aimed to provide food sector small and medium-sized enterprises in less developed and rural regions with new knowledge, practical tools and international connections in the fields of digital transition, energy optimisation and circular operation. As a result of the project, a transnational food sector mentoring programme was developed, together with a shared toolbox and knowledge base supporting the assessment of companies’ readiness, the identification of development opportunities and the exchange of good practices. RISE not only strengthened the competences of the participating enterprises and mentors, but also contributed to long-term cooperation among innovation actors in the Danube Region, supporting the development of more sustainable, competitive and resilient food sector ecosystems.
