STRIA is proud to announce that we were among the presenters at the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels.
The South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency (STRIA/DDRIÜ) successfully represented Hungary at the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities, held in Brussels between October 13–15, 2025. The European Union’s largest regional development event once again brought together thousands of policymakers, experts, and project partners.
STRIA participated in the workshop titled “Women Breaking Barriers: Gender-Responsive Twin Transformation Across Regions,” where it presented the Interreg Europe GRANDIS project, as the lead partner of the consortium. The workshop focused on how regional cooperation and policy innovation can support women’s leadership in the green and digital transitions.
Mónika Alíz Mészáros, EU project manager at STRIA, delivered a presentation showcasing two outstanding best practices:
- the Belgian SAACE programme, which makes employment and entrepreneurship more accessible, and
- the TalentA Hungary programme of the Union of Hungarian Women, which strengthens women’s entrepreneurial and leadership skills in agriculture and the food industry.
During the presentation, STRIA was proud to announce that the TalentA Hungary programme has been included in the Interreg Europe Good Practice Database, recognizing the initiative’s European-level significance and enabling its wider adaptation across regions.

The GRANDIS project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary within the Interreg Europe Program.
