The higher costs for energy bills impact on citizens\u2019 and SMEs\u2019 wallet; energy agency and regional authorities need to fulfil the energy targets, reducing infrastructure costs. An energy transition will only work with extensive investments in renewable energies and energy efficiency in the electricity, heating and mobility sectors. Cooperative projects through energy communities can spread the regional investments over many shoulders and thus help to shoulder the burden. Renewable Energy Communities (REC) instruments to help CE for the energy transition because they produce energy with lower costs and lower infrastructure investments and implement a wide range of projects.
