CE-PRINCE

CE-PRINCE aims to support the transition to a circular economy in Central Europe by leveraging green public procurement (GPP) as a tool for improving the circularity of companies, while strengthening the capacity of the public sector to issue tenders that increasingly include circular elements. Circular procurement takes into account the entire life cycle of goods and services to avoid negative environmental impacts and waste generation, and to reduce the overall amount of energy and materials used. Circular/green public procurement (C/GPP), which accounts for 14% of the EU's GDP, is a key factor in achieving the green transition and improving market competitiveness, while encouraging eco-innovation.

The project will work to strengthen the ecological transition of businesses and raise awareness of the crucial role of the public sector, promoting a common approach to C/GPP in the Central European region.
