As part of our REUSE2030 project, we visited Graz for the International Forum Mechatronics 2025 event. During the „Rethink. Reuse. Revolution.” workshop, we presented our project and its most important cornerstones: two soon-to-be-released digital tools, the Digital Circular Inventory and Zero Carbon Toolkit applications. ♻️
The International Forum Mechatronics is a long-standing event in the field of mechatronics and automation. Created to promote innovation, cooperation, and partnerships between sectors, the forum brings together leading figures from business, research, and academia. In 2025, the event was held for the 17th time, with the theme „Innovating Tomorrow – The Success Factor Mechatronics.” The REUSE2030 workshop also fit into this theme.

During the workshop, we touched on several topics:
✅ the principles of the circular economy beyond recycling
✅ the new tools and their possible areas of application
✅ practical knowledge about reducing emissions and waste during operation
✅Zoltán Toronyi, managing director of HWD Recycling Kft., was invited to present on behalf of HAEE (Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises) to give a comprehensive overview of circular economy and industrial symbiosis. Thomas Deutsch, representing Saubermacher AG, spoke about the importance of industry cooperation.

The workshop brought together representatives of SMEs, research institutes, and business support organizations to share their experiences. The goal was to find out how partners evaluate the tools in the first phase of the demo version.
We would like to thank all the speakers and participants for joining us.
