The third local Stakeholder Meeting in Hungary took place in Budapest on 22 September 2025 at Mittersisters Ltd, one of the stakeholders. The meeting was organised within the framework of the Interreg Europe GRANDIS project with the participation of female entrepreneurs and representatives of various NGOs and state agencies. The event was organised by the consortium leader, STRIA.
Női vállalkozók, valamint különböző non-profit szervezetek és állami szervek képviselőinek részvételével zajlott a rendezvény.
The meeting started with the opening speech by the representative from STRIA, welcoming all old and new participants alike. This was followed by a brief presentation outlining the developments of the project and news since the last local stakeholder meeting. Special attention was given to reporting on what was discussed at the 3rd GRANDIS Interregional Meeting in Namur and to the delight of all present, it was announced that the first Good Practice submitted by STRIA was added by Interreg Europe to their good practice database.
Ideation workshop
This was followed by the 'Ideation' workshop, during which stakeholders brainstormed potential good practices that could address challenges that businesswomen encounter in their professional and private lives. They shared their views on the different kind of suggested good practices in order to get a rich and diverse idea about which could work for whom and why, and critically evaluated which have the potential to be regionally transferred.
During the workshop, participants could hear from two business owners and their inspiring stories about sustainable art and business development as women. An interesting consensus resulted from the conversation, namely that the most relevant good practices for Hungarian female-led SMEs would be the ones addressing the digital development of the business, not necessarily the green transition, because in their opinion female entrepreneurs already operate based on a sustainable mindset, therefore gaining competitive advantage via technological development is a more burning issue.
After the 'Ideation' workshop, the organisers answered all questions and explained the next steps in the development of the project, as well as announced where and when the 4th GRANDIS Interregional Meeting will take place.
This was followed by a networking lunch to bring stakeholders closer together and let them further discuss the topic in a more relaxed atmosphere, incentivising future cooperation during and after the duration of the GRANDIS project.
The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Hungary within the Interreg Europe Program.
