Máire Geoghegan-Quinn named new Research and Innovation Commissioner

Irishwoman Máire Geoghegan-Quinn has been named European Commissioner for Research and Innovation by Commission President José Manuel Barroso.

New College of Commissioners

On Friday 27 November, José Manuel Barroso announced the portfolio allocations for the new College of Commissioners, who will serve until 31 October 2014.

SOUTH TRANSDANUBIAN REGIONAL INNOVATION AGENCY LAUNCHES LIAISON OFFICE IN BRUSSELS

The South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Non-profit Ltd (STRIA) launches a liaison office in Brussels from September 2009. The Brussels Office provides support services for the regional actors in the field of RTD and innovation - especially concerning the EU Framework Programme for RTD and aims at initiating and developing international cooperation and innovation projects.
